MCP server and bridge

super-productivity-mcp

Add the task where you keep your tasks.

An MCP server, a plugin bridge and a quick-add launcher for Super Productivity. An assistant can create and list tasks and projects, add time, and manage schedules and recurrence through a file-based inbox and outbox. Quick add runs through Walker or a GTK popup on Omarchy. Broad writes are dry-run first.

For people who keep their tasks in Super Productivity and want an assistant to reach them.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

An MCP server, a bridge into the app, and a quick-add key.

01

Tools for an assistant

Create and list tasks and projects, add time, and manage schedules and recurrence. The tool catalogue is one JSON file, and broad writes run as a dry run first.

02

A plugin bridge

A Super Productivity plugin moves requests through a file inbox, outbox and dead-letter folder, so nothing needs the network.

03

Quick add on the desktop

A launcher through Walker or a GTK popup that follows the Omarchy theme.

GETTING IT

Build and install

  1. Clone and make install

The Go binaries build locally. Upload the plugin zip under Settings, then Plugins, in Super Productivity.

  2. Point your client at it

Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code and OpenCode configurations are in the README.

A FEW DETAILS

Common questions

What does it need?

Super Productivity desktop 14 or later. Archive and restore need the optional local REST API; recurrence tools need a build whose plugin sandbox allows them.
